Financing Your Plastic Surgery

Patients should not have to feel anxious about asking financial questions. Aesthetic surgery should be a positive experience, and one should be comfortable about the financial aspects of the experience. Please ask questions of the office staff. They are extremely willing to assist you in any way possible to relieve your anxiety about your surgery, as well as to assist you in obtaining financial assistance should you need it.

FEES: There is a consultation fee at your initial consultation, which will be applied towards the surgeon’s fee should you have surgery. In addition, a quote of total surgery costs will be provided to you after the consultation.

SURGERY DEPOSIT: Once you have decided to proceed with scheduling surgery, a surgery deposit, which is 25% of the surgeon’s fee, is collected to hold your place on the surgery schedule. The residual amount of the surgeon’s fee is due at the preoperative appointment. The deposit can be paid in any number of ways but must be received at the time of scheduling in order to reserve the date and time for you. Until the surgical deposit is received, the time you request will be held for 48 hours.

In the event of cancellation more than two weeks before the date of surgery, all monies, except the consultation fee, will be refunded. If surgery is cancelled at two weeks or less prior to the date of surgery, the surgery deposit will not be refunded. If there is a medical illness documented by a letter from the treating physician presented within two weeks of cancellation, then monies, except the consultation fee, will be refunded.

PAYMENT POLICY: The balance of the surgical fee is due in full at the time of the preoperative visit, which is usually scheduled within two weeks prior to the actual surgery date. Your fees will be that quoted to you at the time of consultation, less the surgical deposit and consultation fee previously paid. We accept the following forms of payment: (1) cashier’s checks, (2) Visa, (3) Master Card, (4) American Express, (5) Discover, and (6) personal checks. Personal checks returned by the bank incur a $25 fee. Credit card payments may be given over the telephone as long as identification is verified.
