Patients
should not have to feel anxious about asking financial questions.
Aesthetic surgery should be a positive confidence-building experience,
and one should be comfortable about the financial aspects of the
experience. Please ask questions of our office staff. They are
extremely willing to assist you in any way possible to relieve
your anxiety about your surgery, as well as to assist you in obtaining
financial assistance should you need it.
FEES:
Dr. Powers does not publish her fee schedule on the web, but
approximate surgical fees can be obtained over the phone.
Dr. Powers does
charge a nominal fee for the time she spends with you at your
initial consultation, which will be applied towards the
surgical
fee should you decide to have surgery. In addition, a surgery
fee quote will be provided to you at the conclusion of
the consultation
if she feels you would benefit from a procedure.
SURGICAL
DEPOSIT: Once you have decided to proceed with scheduling
surgery, we collect a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 or 10%
of the total fee, whichever is larger, which is used to hold
your place on the surgery schedule. This is deducted from your
surgical fee and is not in addition to the fee. This can be
paid in any number of ways but must be received at the time
of scheduling in order to reserve the date and time for you.
Until the surgical deposit is received, the time you request
will be open on a first-come first-serve basis.
PAYMENT
POLICY: The balance of the surgical fee is due in full
at the time of the preoperative visit, which is usually scheduled
one to two weeks prior to the actual surgery date. Your fee
will be that quoted to you at the time of consultation, less
the surgical deposit and consultation fee previously paid. We
accept only the following forms of payment: (1) cash, (2) cashiers’
checks, (3) Visa, (4) Master Card, (5) American Express, and
(6) Discover. Credit card payments may be given over the telephone
as long as identification is verified. When using a credit card
of someone other than the patient, the individual must present
themselves with a photo I.D. and sign the credit card receipt
or as arranged with the cosmetic consultant.
FINANCING
YOUR SURGERY
You
may wish to finance your surgery if you do not plan to pay the
full amount in cash or cashiers’ check. You may wish to
finance through your own bank or credit union. However, if you
feel uncomfortable revealing to a bank officer why you need
to borrow money, we can assist you with obtaining financial assistance.
